Responsibilities:

• Handle tax accounting for various funds, including hedge funds, private equity, real estate, and SPVs.
• Accurately prepare and review tax workpapers and returns.
• Calculate estimated taxes and manage the preparation of investor tax documentation.
• Work closely with external firms on tax, accounting, and legal matters.
• Respond to investor tax inquiries with detailed, well-researched solutions.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors to ensure accurate financial statements.
• 4+ years of experience in public accounting with a focus on flow-through taxation.
• Expertise in partnership tax for hedge and private equity funds.
• Strong knowledge of hedge fund tax matters, including Schedule M-1 calculations.
• Familiarity with private equity tax issues, especially capital account allocations.
• Experience with real estate fund taxation, specifically REIT qualification.
• Ability to recognize international tax implications and considerations for tax-exempt entities.
• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing tax workpapers and returns.
• Skilled in overseeing tax return preparation across multiple firms.
• Comprehensive understanding of complex tax and accounting standards.
