Adecco is currently assisting our client in Ontario, CA hire a Box Truck Driver. This is a great temp-to-hire job opportunity.
The ideal candidate should be reliable and experience driver who will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of manufacturing goods to various customer locations in the Inland Empire, Los Angeles, and Long Beach area. Seeking a candidate with excellent driving skills, a strong work ethic, and an in depth knowledge of the local area.
Monday - Friday 7am.- 3:30 pm
Pay Rate: $ 20.00/ hr - $24.00/ hr DOE
Requirements:
- Class C License
- Clean Driving Record
- Box Truck Experience: 2 years minimum
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Warehouse Experience
- Ability to work accurately and quickly under company deadlines
- Communication Skills
- Interpersonal Skills
- Customer Service Skills
- Must have attention to detail and accuracy
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Driving Duties:- Safely operate a company box truck to transport goods to various locations.
- Ensure timely delivery of products to customers and clients.
- Verify delivery orders and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.
- Communicate with customers regarding delivery times and any issues that arise during the delivery process.
- Collecting and verifying the proper payment for delivered goods.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with receiving, unloading, and organizing incoming shipments.
- Communicate with the sales/ warehouse department regularly throughout the day.
- Ability to work overtime upon business need.
- Packing Slip Management: Collect proper signatures, Verification, Documentation
- Occasionally use pallet jack to move or transport heavy items safely.
- Wear the company-provided uniform at all times during work hours to maintain a professional and consistent company image.
- Vehicle Maintenance- perform daily pre-trip inspections
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
