Overview:

Cooper University Health Care Emergency Department is one of the busiest, high acuity EDs in the region treating over 80 thousand patients annually. As a Regional Level-1 Trauma Center, Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center, and Comprehensive Stroke Center located in an urban settings, patients present with a diverse and complex range of medical and psychosocial needs.

Located within the ED is a dedicated Pediatric ED staffed by Pediatric Emergency Medicine providers, nurses and clinical team members, in addition to a neurointerventional suite for fast and effective comprehensive stroke intervention.

Short Description:

Reporting up through the nursing AVP for Professional Practice, Quality and Innovation, the clinical educator is a member of a dynamic team of masters prepared nurses with a focus on innovative and evidence-based practices that support clinical team members transition to practice as well as ongoing professional development in their individualized units or specialty.

Experience Required:

  • At least 3 years nursing clinical practice in direct patient care required.

Education Requirements:

  • Masters Required; Masters in Nursing preferred

License/Certification Requirements:

  • NJ RN license required
  • AHA BLS required
  • ACLS required within 6 months of hire
