In this role, you will provide support for EPE’s Clients to ensure compliance with NERC Operations and Planning (FERC Order 693) Reliability Standards. You will assist in ensuring EPE offers the utmost in quality services for the NERC and Regulatory Compliance Department and will support our clients’ efforts to comply with the requirements in the NERC Reliability Standards.
As a NERC O&P Compliance Analyst, you will play a vital role in ensuring the company's compliance with the NERC O&P standards, which are designed to protect the reliability and security of the North American power grid. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing and implementing compliance strategies, and maintaining documentation to support ongoing compliance efforts.Your expertise in NERC O&P requirements and your ability to analyze complex technical and operational systems will be crucial in ensuring our client’s adherence to regulatory standards.
How you can make an impact:
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the area of O&P compliance and assist Clients in ensuring timely and complete compliance reporting.
- Support Clients with the development and management of NERC Compliance programs.
- Perform Gap Analyses to evaluate the Client’s projects portfolio to identify any NERC deficiencies and provide the necessary action plan to achieve and maintain compliance with the NERC O&P Reliability Standards.
- Perform periodic data submittals on behalf of Clients, using Client-provided evidence.
- Support Clients with audit preparation, registration, and certification issues.
- Participate in and lead mock audits to expose the Client (if needed) to the process of being audited.
- Use knowledge of NERC Reliability Standards, operations, and planning practices to assist Clients in compliance efforts.
- Support Clients in tracking action items for proving compliance with NERC O&P requirements.
- As necessary, work with and assist NERC technical team in the execution and review of the evidence needed to demonstrate compliance for the Client.
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with EPE’s Clients.
- Actively participate in industry organizations, conferences, workshops and forums update Clients to existing and new NERC Standards.
Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of applicable experience, or equivalent experience.
- Generation and/or transmission operations or planning experience.
- 2+ years of experience with NERC Standards and NERC compliance programs.
- Experience working with and alongside Clients to discuss and address compliance needs.
- Ability to cultivate and foster Client relations to support growth within the EPE NERC Compliance Team.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with other business units while maintaining forward motion on key deliverables.
- Ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent business and technical writing.

Travel: Job may require occasional travel to meet with clients and stakeholders or attend NERC related conferences and may include overnight stays.
