Litigation Attorney
We are seeking a Litigation Associate to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this role, you will be working closely with our accomplished partner and will be involved in many aspects of litigation, including drafting and reviewing legal documents, conducting legal research, and representing clients.
- Draft, review, and edit pleadings, motions, discovery documents, and other litigation-related materials.
- Conduct thorough legal research and provide written analysis of case law, statutes, and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation for trials, hearings, and depositions.
- Attend hearings and depositions with senior attorneys and represent clients in certain matters as assigned.
- Collaborate with team members to develop case strategies and legal arguments.
- Maintain and organize case files and legal documents.
- Self-manage own tasks lists, deadlines, and workload.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel, as well as with supervising attorneys.
- Support senior attorneys in trial preparation and client meetings.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Strong academic credentials, including experience on Law Review or similar legal publication.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Membership in good standing with the Maryland Bar
- Membership in good standing with the District of Columbia Bar preferred, but not required
