Job Description

The Project Manager will:

• Project Planning & Coordination:
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for residential construction and restoration projects.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure all project specifications are met.
• Schedule and manage on-site activities, ensuring smooth workflows and timely project completion.
• Budget & Cost Management:
• Track project expenses and ensure projects are completed within the established budget.
• Provide clients and senior management with regular budget updates and make necessary adjustments for cost-effective solutions.
• Oversee the procurement of materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring timely delivery to meet project deadlines.
• Team Leadership & Supervision:
• Manage subcontractors, ensuring that all work complies with quality standards, safety regulations, and local building codes.
• Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, addressing any issues and ensuring that team members stay on track.
• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment to promote productivity and job satisfaction.
• Client Relations:
• Act as the primary point of contact for homeowners, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
• Ensure customer expectations are clearly understood and met, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and trust.
• Build lasting relationships with clients, with an emphasis on repeat business and referrals.
• Quality Control & Compliance:
• Perform regular site inspections to ensure the work is in compliance with building codes, industry standards, and client specifications.
• Ensure safety regulations are adhered to at all times, addressing safety concerns immediately.
• Monitor the quality of craftsmanship and materials used throughout the construction or restoration process.
• Risk Management:
• Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate issues before they impact the project timeline, cost, or quality.
• Resolve project delays, design changes, or unexpected problems in a timely manner to keep the project on track.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Project Manager will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing residential construction projects, particularly in new builds and restorations.
• Strong knowledge of local building codes, zoning regulations, and industry best practices in Harrisburg, PA.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
• Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, Microsoft Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between job sites in the Harrisburg area.
• PMP certification or other relevant project management certifications is a plus.
