Description:

The Director of Billing and Accounts Receivable (AR) Management for Physician Divisions at Emory Healthcare is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the billing operations and AR management specifically within the physician divisions.

  • This role involves coordinating efforts to ensure accurate billing and effective collections processes, all aimed at maximizing revenue and minimizing financial risk.
  • The Director will establish and implement best-in-class billing practices, working closely with clinical departments and Patient Financial Services (PFS) to streamline operations and enhance overall performance.
  • The leader will be accountable for meeting and exceeding key performance metrics related to billing accuracy, AR days, and collection rates.
  • In addition to operational oversight, the Director of Billing and AR Management will collaborate with physician leaders and administrative partners to align billing strategies with the organizations financial goals.
  • This includes developing comprehensive AR management strategies that address aging accounts, optimizing cash flow, and improving patient payment experiences.
  • The Director will also be responsible for training and mentoring billing staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to execute their responsibilities effectively.
  • Furthermore, this role involves conducting regular reviews of billing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • By fostering strong communication with clinic physicians and other key stakeholders, the Director will enhance collaboration and identify opportunities for process improvements, ultimately contributing to the financial success of Emory Healthcare's physician divisions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, health administration, or related field.
  • Master's degree or equivalent graduate work preferred.
  • Four (6) years management experience in physician group practice including multi-site group management preferably in both the shared service and clinical department environments.
  • Demonstrated understanding in how to manage resources across an organization to make an enterprise-wide impact.
