POSITION OVERVIEW:

The BCBA/BCaBA is responsible for effective case management, quality staff supervision, creating/leading staff trainings, parent support/parent training, and serving as a role model and/or mentor to direct level ABA staff.

  • Conduct initial assessments; intake new clients
  • Create individualized skill acquisition programming and evidence based treatment plans
  • Accurately complete reporting requirements specific to the client funding source; meet strict deadlines
  • Participate in telehealth case supervision, case management, trainings, and behavioral consultation as needed
  • Directly supervise and manage direct staff; provide parent training to parents/caregivers; assist related professionals/teachers with implementation of the treatment plan
  • Closely monitor the provision of behavior programming; weekly analyze and compile treatment data; use collected data to make treatment plan decisions
  • Follow all company safety procedures and ethical policies, train others to do the same
  • Promptly report all incidents of abuse/neglect and train others to recognize abuse, neglect, and exploitation
  • Actively participate in Momentum summer programs and Saturday schools
  • Encourage open and professional communication with the families we serve
  • Create/Lead/Implement initial and ongoing staff training, design systems of staff evaluation; monitor direct supervisees/Momentum staff for clinical aptitude for role, job satisfaction, and be alert for signs of professional burnout

REQUIREMENTS
  • Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field
  • BACB certification at the BCaBA or BCBA level, or eligibility to sit for the exam within 6 months
  • 2 years’ experience working directly with children with autism within a behavioral format highly preferred but not necessary
  • Experience in behavioral assessment and treatment
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record 18 years of age or older
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, time-management, and communication skills
  • Computer skills required: Word Processing, PowerPoint, Excel, use of a printer and scanner
  • Accept reassignment as required
  • Physical: Ability to lift, move/pull/push individuals who may weigh up to 50 lbs
  • CPR and First Aide certification
  • Mature and ethical demeanor when engaging with Momentum staff and clients
  • Establish and maintain professional and ethical working relationships with client related providers (speech therapist, teacher, pediatrician, etc.), as well as with Momentum management team
  • Exhibit initiative, creative problem solving, and regularly bring innovative ideas for company improvement to Momentum management
  • Mental: ability to effectively problem solve and deal with challenging behaviors in a calm manner as prescribed by behavior plans and techniques in applied behavior analysis
