CNC Operator - 2nd Shift

Responsibilities- Study blueprints and work instructions to understand required part specifications.
- Load raw materials onto the CNC machine.
- Mount and align tooling, fixtures, and workpieces on the machine using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools based on material and machining operations.
- Set machine parameters like feed rates, speeds, and cutting depths.
- Load and run CNC programs to execute machining operations such as milling, drilling, turning, and grinding.
- Monitor machine performance during operation, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Make necessary adjustments to machine settings as needed to maintain tolerances and optimal cutting conditions.
- Perform in-process inspections using measuring tools to verify part dimensions and quality.
- Inspect finished parts thoroughly to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Identify and report any defects or inconsistencies in production.
- Document inspection results and maintain quality records.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report any safety concerns immediately.
Required Knowledge:
- Min. 4 years experince
- Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining principles
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints
- Knowledge of CNC programming language and ability to edit basic programs
- Experience with measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges
