Robert Half has a bookkeeper role available on a permanent basis. Self-driven and organized accounting professionals are needed for an exciting Bookkeeper opportunity. The ideal candidate must be self-driven, organized, and comfortable working under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
In this Bookkeeper role, you will handle reconciliation, month-end closing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. As well, the Bookkeeper will stay on top of a general ledger reconciliation, perform data entry, light journal entries, cash applications, and full cycle A/P coding.

This Bookkeeper role will be located in the Nashville, Tennessee area and will be a permanent position. Qualified candidates should apply as soon as possible!

Major responsibilities
  • Produce subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement
  • Work on special projects occasionally
  • Help with monthly accounting close
  • Maintains sales tax records and creates and files quarterly payments
  • Guide monthly accounting close
  • Regulate Accounts Receivable
  • Formulate cash flow projections, as needed
  • Sustain Accounts Payable
  • Uphold a general ledger
  • Draw up monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents
  • Experienced with credit card management and reconciliation - Proficiency in payroll
  • Portfolio management experience
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Access
  • Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and vendor management skills
  • Dynamic accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
  • Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
  • 5+ years of related experience- Outstanding analytical, quantitative and social skills
  • Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills
  • Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
