Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Desktop Support Specialist to provide technical support for PC and Mac environments. In this role, you will ensure the smooth operation of user devices, troubleshoot issues, and deliver hands-on training to end users on various technologies and software, including Excel, iPads, laptops, and other devices.

The ideal candidate is not only a technical expert but also an effective communicator who enjoys helping users become proficient in the tools they use.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide desktop support for both PC and Mac users, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Train users on technology platforms such as Excel, iPads, laptops, and other related devices to ensure effective use.
  • Respond to user queries and technical problems in a timely and professional manner, providing both on-site and remote support.
  • Assist with setting up new devices and software installations for users.
  • Develop and update training materials to educate users on new features and technologies.
  • Maintain detailed records of support requests, solutions, and user feedback for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in providing desktop support in both PC and Mac environments.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting software and hardware issues on various devices.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to users with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Experience with training users on technology platforms such as iPads, laptops, and other business-related devices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive attitude with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-device environment.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP), or similar are a plus.
