Civil Engineer Project Manager, Transportation Design

Overview:

Ideal candidates will be self-motivated with a strong technical background to guide staff through projects. The Project Manager may also serve as a subject matter expert in support of other projects across the country and around the world. There is potential for upward mobility within our rapidly growing Transportation Practice.

Responsibilities:

• Lead project teams through the development of preliminary engineering, detailed design, and quantification of transportation projects.
• Ensure deliverables and quality standards are met in accordance with the agreed scope, schedule, and budget.
• Manage and support internal and client cross-functional teams.
• Leverage existing relationships and new client and consultant relationships in the pursuit of new work.
• Actively participate in professional societies, organizations, and conferences by serving on boards, presenting at luncheons or conferences.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Active PE License in Ohio or ability to obtain an Ohio PE license within in one year of hire.
• 5-15 years of experience in transportation design (strong preference for roadway experience).
• Must be able to travel 25-30% to client sites.
• Knowledge of ODOT Project Development Process, construction documentation & administration and knowledge in state, local municipalities design process is a plus.
• Bentley Open Road Designer or Civil3D experience.
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment; offer constructive feedback and direction to support goals.
