JOIN US as a Quality Engineer and we can offer you an opportunity to work in a high-tech, specialist company working with some of the best global names in aerospace, medical, semiconductor and clean energy. Reporting in to the Global Quality Manager, based out of the Rock Hill facility, this role comes with excellent prospects to become US Quality Manager after a successful period of training and development.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Support the Quality process through the documentation and management of product non-conformance.
- Work with Engineering to identify potential root causes and corrective actions, documenting and monitoring the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
- Work within the Quality Team to ensure compliance with Winbro Business Management System and associated certification requirements (AS9100, NADCAP).
- Assist in machine operator training to increase operator awareness of processes, requirements and improvements.
- Propose and instigate continuous improvement projects to improve quality and/or manufacturability in our contract manufacture business.
- Management of quarantine/MRB area and maintain part logs for all relevant products.
- Create company documentation when required to support Quality Compliance and Process Improvement.
- Support Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams during New Product Introduction (NPI) and development through transition into the manufacturing environment.
- Assist with all other Quality functions where necessary – airflow, CMM/VMM, metallurgical analysis, calibration and customer communication.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have some experience in a quality function in a manufacturing environment. Practical experience and understanding of turbine parts manufacture using non-conventional machining processes and previous experience in a metallurgical testing environment would be beneficial.You will have the ability to understand 3D geometry coordinate systems, read engineering drawings and have strong report writing skills. A Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in an engineering discipline is preferred.
