Summary
The Maintenance Planner improves productivity and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays by planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance resources, parts, materials, and equipment access.
Ownership- Prepare and schedule maintenance work plans and maintains daily work schedules for effective production and maintenance outcomes.
- Prioritize work schedules and jobs based on equipment priority and production needs.
- Compile work orders and update all information in database; monitor and communicate planned work order backlog to appropriate Operations staff.
- Review and interpret maintenance and production needs based on KPIs.
- Manage equipment lifecycle list for all parts, tools, and equipment.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain for material purchase requirements to ensure accurate and appropriate order placement.
- Make recommendations for critical spares and inventory requirements.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for maintenance storeroom; train maintenance personnel on inventory control system.
- Cycle count inventory based on equipment criticality.
- Develop preventive and predictive maintenance standards for all production equipment.
- Audit work order completion for accuracy and quality of work.
- Coordinate with and manage all third-party contractors for building and equipment repairs.
- Manage equipment lifecycle list of all parts, tools, and equipment.
- Provide recommendations for critical spares and inventory requirements.
- Uphold and participate in all Corporate Responsibility programming including recycling, social advocacy and MMAD volunteering opportunities.
- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
- High School diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years experience in maintenance planning and scheduling or relevant experience as a maintenance technician.
- Experience working with a CMMS (computerized maintenance management system), Excel, maintenance parts knowledge, job task planning, pm/pd planning.

- While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit, use hands to handle, reach with hands and arms, see, talk and hear. The associate is required to stand, walk, stoop or kneel.
- Regular exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock and vibration.
- Occasional exposure to high, precarious places, outside weather conditions, and extreme cold.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
