Position: Medical Laboratory TechnicianLocation: Portland, OR
Schedule: Night Shift: 11PM – 07:30 AM Mon – Fri ; rotating weekend

Your Role:
- Evaluate specimen acceptability based on established criteria.
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures aligned with SOPs.
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot lab instruments.
- Prepare, test, and assess new reagents or controls.
- Deliver accurate and timely test results to ensure quality patient care.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and document quality control activities.
- Support specimen processing and maintain supply inventory.
- Adhere to safety standards and use appropriate PPE.

Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
- Certification: ASCP or AMT certified candidates preferred; eligible candidates must obtain certification within 6 months.
- Experience: 2–4 years of clinical laboratory testing experience.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology (or as required by CLIA & State regulations).
- Key Skills:
- Technical proficiency in routine and complex laboratory procedures.
- Expertise in bacterial culture reading.
- Instrumentation troubleshooting and technical decision-making.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication.
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems (a plus).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
