Accounting Coordinator (Entry-Level) - Los Angeles

Role Overview:

This role offers opportunities for growth into a management position, as you will develop skills to eventually take on more complex accounting tasks and leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and data entry into the general ledger.
• Help maintain accurate financial records and assist in preparing basic financial reports.
• Support compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with the Bookkeeper and Accounting Administrator to streamline accounting processes.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities under supervision.
• Learn and assist with the utilization of the NetSuite accounting system and other integrated business systems.
• Provide support for budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Communicate basic financial updates and insights to team members and stakeholders.
• Assist with tax filings and ensure basic compliance with relevant regulations.

Reporting and Team Structure:

• Report to the Head of Finance and work closely with the Bookkeeper and Accounting Administrator.
• No direct supervisory responsibilities, but opportunities to grow into managing junior staff as experience increases.

• Strong proficiency with accounting software (NetSuite preferred) and Excel.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
