General Summary:

Serves as a liaison between Community Corrections and Information Technology Department as well as other municipalities, and local agencies. Interacts with Information Technology technical staff regarding server and mainframe difficulties, password modifications and/or equipment replacement.
Works closely with Information Technology in the implementation and functionality of case management software system. Coordinates with outside vendors and suppliers for the acquisitions of computer related equipment, development, and new software.
Instructs and trains employees within the department in all aspects of personal computer hardware and software usage. Prepares and maintains user manuals and other related documentation. Uses technical experience and knowledge of specialized software for the department to maintain and analyze problems relative to data processing services.
Collects data on specific service problems and complaints; analyzes and resolves problems. Generates reports by utilizing database and other software programs. Designs and updates all promotional and informational material regarding alternative sentencing guidelines that is distributed to the courts and legal community.
Writes and edits various publications regarding divisional programs to be distributed throughout the community. Responsible for updating the statistical information and content on the display boards throughout the department. Regularly updates database information to get quantifiable, statistical, and demographic data.

Prepares computer manuals for case management software. Utilizes current Countywide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

At the time of application all applicants must:

  1. a. Possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Public Administration, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
  1. Have had at least two (2) year of full-time work experience in one or more of the following areas: creating and maintaining databases, systems analysis, training users on systems, systems testing, systems implementation, or systems software upgrades;
OR
  1. a. Possess an Associate’s Degree or equivalent education from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Public Administration, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
  1. Have had at least four (4) years of full-time work experience in one or more of the following areas: creating and maintaining databases, systems analysis, training users on systems, systems testing, systems implementation, or systems software upgrades;
OR
  1. a. Must be a high school graduate or have a certificate of successful completion of the General Education Development (GED) test.
  1. Have had at least six (6) years of full-time work experience in one or more of the following areas: creating and maintaining databases, systems analysis, training users on systems, systems testing, systems implementation, or systems software upgrades.

Pay Range: USD $66,849.00 - USD $89,566.00 /Yr.
