Communications Specialist

USFS was founded in 2010 and provides strategic planning, performance management, program management, and administrative support services to federal and state governments.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an Communications Specialist to provide administrative support to our U.S. Government client in Arlington, VA.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
• Experience with Social Media Production required.
• Minimum four (4) years of applicable experience working with DoD HQ or Federal HQ staff.

• Social media is one of the primary modes of communication to the SAF/CN’s external publics.
• Effective use of social media can enhance communication between SAF/CN and key stakeholders.
• Successful social media management requires familiarity with key social media platforms, an ability to write concise and compelling short form content, and an ability to be proactive and responsive on multiple platforms/communication channels.
• The Communications Specialist shall support social media management as follows:
• Draft, edit, and schedule social media content relevant to key stakeholders.
• Design assets using video, text, audio and strong visuals to enhance social presence.
• Customize content based on the specific audience and specifications of each platform.
• Develop and share reporting on metrics and feedback internally and across teams
• Coordinate posting of news announcements, branding, social messaging campaigns, and other content for social media.

Office Hours:

• 0800 to 1700 Monday through Friday
