Responsibilities:

• Set up fixtures/tooling for the machines
• Write new programs or change programs for the machines for the development of new products / processes
• Troubleshoot problems with the machines to identify quality and productivity issues
• Operate machines for machining, balancing, and drilling
• Perform visual inspection and measurement process of incoming castings to verify their quality
• Perform preventative and non-preventative maintenance on the machines
• Handle waste materials from the processes
• Receive incoming packages and prepare and ship packages for shipment

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to produce high quality products that meet specification
• Ability to maintain an accurate production schedule
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to effectively integrate performance planning and development processes
• Ability to complete all tasks in a timely manner under limited supervision
• Knowledge of quality systems
• Knowledge of measuring equipment

Education:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to demonstrate the following:

• Observe safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly.
• Accurately count and perform basic math functions, including mental calculation of simple equations and/or fractions.
• Proficient in English (reading and writing).
