Serialisation Support Engineer
Catalyx is seeking an Serialisation Support Engineer to work on our customer site in Cork. This is a fully onsite role with a shift component.

The Role :
The Serialisation Support Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of serialisation projects, ensuring the smooth operation and compliance of serialisation systems in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities and Tasks :
- Configure, implement, and maintain serialisation and track-and-trace systems.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., EU FMD, US DSCSA).
- Perform software updates, patches, and troubleshooting to maintain system integrity.
- Provide first-line and escalated support for serialization-related technical issues.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software failures in serialization systems.
- Collaborate with IT, production, and engineering teams to resolve system downtimes.
- Ensure all serialization processes comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Support system validation activities, including IQ, OQ, and PQ documentation.
- Assist in audits and regulatory inspections by providing necessary serialization data.
- Work on system integrations between ERP, MES, WMS, and serialization systems.
- Analyse production and packaging line processes to optimize serialization workflows.
- Provide recommendations for improving system efficiency and reducing downtime.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in a packaging manufacturing preferably in highly regulated industries.
- Practical knowledge of machine vision technologies or serialisation technologies preferred.
- Familiarity with GMP standards and compliance an advantage
