Cloud Operations Engineer
Location: Washington, DC
The Role:
- Managing, building, configuring, administering, operating and maintaining various open-source and COTS applications in the cloud
- Developing and maintaining scripts to automate deployment and other tasks
- Scripting and maintaining build environments
- Resolving complex UNIX/Linux systems administration issues
- Conducting round table discussions on capabilities
- Defining enterprise cloud adoption processes and best practices
- Codifying software development best practices across the enterprise
Basic Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree is required
- 3 years experience within IT
- 1 year experience with cloud operations and systems administration
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud migration
- Relevant cloud certifications such as Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect or AWS Cloud Practitioner
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with cloud solutions
- Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly
- Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
