Responsibilities:

Noblis MSD’s engineers, developers, technical staff, programmers, analysts, and program managers identify and deploy new shipboard technologies, integrate information technology across shipboard platforms, and develop strategies to support the Warfighter.

Together, we create strategic solutions to help customers reach new levels of mission support and transform their organizations.

Noblis MSD Fleet Introduction Project provides Precommissioning Support to ship's Prospective Commanding Officer, Executive Officer and Department Heads for Logistics and technical services. Fleet Introduction work is performed in an integrated support team environment that includes government and Noblis MSD teams that work closely with PEO SHIPS, Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Shipbuilder and the ship's Crewmembers.

The Technical Specialist will provide Technical Waterfront Support as follows:

  • Provide Database management support.
  • Assist Ship's force personnel, Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Afloat Training Groups (ATG), and other Navy personnel in fleet requirements not reflected in build requirements. This will require extensive research of build contract specifications, fleet guiding directives and requirements.
  • Work with Navy training and certification teams and Squadron personnel. Administrative and shipboard coordination for crew preparations for Crew Move-Aboard, training, certification and Sail-Away.
  • Provide ship checks as requested by ATG, LCSRON and Ships Force.
  • Assist with Program implementation IAW ATG check sheets and other fleet requirements.
  • Obtain and maintain the various administrative requirements of new construction ships.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma and 4 years of work experience in a U.S. Military environment. (Or an Associate's degree and 2 years of experience.)
  • The ability to organize tasks and services and be able to work with competing priorities.
  • Must be able to physically maneuver on board US Navy Ships including accessing high and confined spaces and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Proficiency with the MS Office suite of software, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Access.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills are essential in this team orientated-customer service position.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws.

The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.

Posted Salary Range: USD $18.82 - USD $32.67 /Hr.
