The Intelligence Programs Group (IPG), part of SPA’s Space and Intelligence Division, is a specialized provider of systems engineering and trusted advisory services to the Space and National Intelligence community. We utilize mission-proven, data-driven advisory tools and capabilities.We provide highly technical support to ensure the government acquires cutting edge technology necessary for our National Defense. SPA is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Human Resources Support Specialist - Senior to join our Front Office Support (R-FOS) team in Chantilly, VA.
Responsibilities:
Key duties associated with this role include but are not limited to the following:
- Support government civilian, military, and contractor personnel through onboarding, workforce planning, staffing, and performance management processes.
- Facilitate the administration of awards, recognition, and career development programs for personnel.
- Ensure compliance with NRO and government-directed HR policies and procedures, working closely with the Office of Human Resources (OHR).
- Assist with the implementation of HR tools, systems, and processes to improve efficiency and accessibility to services such as training and career management.
- Provide administrative support for personnel actions, including recruiting, performance reviews, and position assignments.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for HR functions, ensuring compliance with standards for data integrity and retention.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications- Active TS/SCI
- Ability to sit for, and pass, a CI Polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in HR operations with a focus on federal or government HR processes
- Familiarity with military and civilian HR functions, including performance management, recruiting, and workforce planning
- Strong understanding of HR compliance, regulations, and policies applicable to federal and military personnel
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field
- Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR
- Knowledge of NRO, Department of Defense (DoD), or Intelligence Community (IC) HR structures and requirements
- Experience supporting HR processes for both civilian and military personnel, including joint-service HR functions
- Expertise in managing HR workflows in complex organizations, including data analysis and reporting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with experience using HR tools such as Workday, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms
