ABOUT THIS ROLE
As the Business Intelligence & Data Analytics Lead for the Audible Fraud Defense team, you will pilot the data analytics and insights function and report to the head of the Audible Fraud Defense program. In this role, you will be responsible for providing the data-driven decision support and insights that are critical to the team's mission of detecting, preventing, and mitigating fraud across Audible's creator and customer ecosystem.You will collaborate closely with partners and key stakeholders across Audible and Amazon to protect Audible's integrity and trustworthiness for creators, producers, and customers. As the subject matter expert, you will work to safeguard Audible's reputation and ensure a secure environment for all stakeholders involved.

As a Business Intelligence & Data Analytics Lead, you will..- Partner closely with the Fraud Defense team's Applied Scientist to establish the data pipelines, modeling, and analytical capabilities required to fuel the development and continuous improvement of the team's machine learning-powered fraud detection and monitoring initiatives. This will involve ensuring the availability of high-quality, well-structured data
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive suite of dashboards, reports, and ad-hoc analyses to track key fraud metrics, identify emerging trends and patterns, and surface high-risk accounts and activities for further investigation. You will work cross-functionally to understand the team's evolving data and reporting needs
- Define the Fraud Defense team's core KPIs and performance metrics, ensuring they provide a clear and accurate view of the team's impact in protecting Audible's financial integrity and preserving trust with creators and customers
- Leverage advanced data analytics techniques, including predictive modeling and anomaly detection, to uncover hidden insights and proactively identify potential fraud risks before they materialize. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to translate these insights into actionable strategies for fraud prevention and mitigation
- Establish a robust, automated reporting and forecasting infrastructure to track the Fraud Defense team's performance and simulate the potential impact of various initiatives. This will inform the team's strategic decision-making and ensure accountability
- Serve as a strategic data and insights partner to the Fraud Defense leadership, translating complex data into clear, compelling recommendations to guide the team's continuous improvement and drive measurable results
- Foster a strong data-driven culture within the Fraud Defense team, empowering team members to leverage data and analytics to inform their day-to-day work and surface new opportunities for enhancing the team's fraud detection and prevention capabilities

- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, or a related technical field
- Experience in data modeling, reporting, and dashboard development, with proficiency in SQL, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau), and programming languages (e.g., Python, R)
- Experience leveraging advanced analytics techniques, including predictive modeling, anomaly detection, and simulations, to uncover insights and inform strategic decision-making
- Experience in partnering with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations
- Communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively tailor insights to technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with a strong ability to prioritize, multitask, and deliver results under tight deadlines- Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MS in Analytics) or additional certifications in data science, business intelligence, or a related field
- Experience working in the e-commerce, media, or fraud detection/prevention domains
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and techniques, and experience applying them to solve complex business problems
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate thought leadership, and drive strategic initiatives
- Strong business acumen and understanding of key performance metrics and their impact on the overall business
