Occupational Therapist - Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist

Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapist will focus on helping patients with psychological and developmental conditions achieve greater independence through tailored therapy interventions and group activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Design individualized therapy programs to enhance life skills and mental health recovery.
  • Conduct group therapy sessions targeting skill-building and social adjustment.
  • Assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on their needs and goals.
  • Educate caregivers on therapeutic strategies to support patients at home.
  • Coordinate therapy activities with other healthcare and social services professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Current NYS Occupational Therapy license required.
  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy required.
  • 2+ years of mental health experience, including group therapy.
  • NBCOT certification preferred.
