Occupational Therapist - Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist
Job Summary:
The Occupational Therapist will focus on helping patients with psychological and developmental conditions achieve greater independence through tailored therapy interventions and group activities.
Responsibilities:
- Design individualized therapy programs to enhance life skills and mental health recovery.
- Conduct group therapy sessions targeting skill-building and social adjustment.
- Assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on their needs and goals.
- Educate caregivers on therapeutic strategies to support patients at home.
- Coordinate therapy activities with other healthcare and social services professionals.
Qualifications:
- Current NYS Occupational Therapy license required.
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy required.
- 2+ years of mental health experience, including group therapy.
- NBCOT certification preferred.
