Industrial Safety and Compliance Coordinator

Summary:

This role will help develop and enforce safety policies in compliance with state and federal regulations, ensuring a safe work environment and supporting accident prevention and health initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate work environments to identify and mitigate health and safety risks.
• Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct safety committee meetings, accident investigations, and employee training.
• Ensure corrective actions are taken for identified hazards and deficiencies.
• Conduct drug and alcohol testing when needed and coordinate with HR on workers" compensation and safety compliance.
• Prepare, maintain, and update safety documentation, logs, and reports.
• Collaborate with the Hazmat team for incident responses and compliance tasks.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other regulatory standards.
• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and orientation sessions for new hires.
• Prepare reports and maintain communication with regulatory bodies.
