Responsibilities of the Charge Nurse Operating Room RN will include assessing, evaluating, monitoring, and treating patients in the Perioperative Surgical Services department. Additionally, the Charge Nurse Operating Room RN will serve as an educational resource for the patients, their families, and new-hire department staff.Working alongside a team of highly specialized RN and LPN nurses, technicians, and ancillary staff allows the RN to cross collaborate with multidisciplinary teams when developing individualized patient care treatment plans.
Ideally, the Charge Nurse Operating Room RN will hold or be willing to obtain their Maryland or compact multi-state registered nurses license, and have at least 1 year of scrubbing and circulating experience working in an Operating Room.
