POSITION SUMMARY

The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising production employees by implementing policies and recommending improvements for production needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Improve safety processes and behaviors to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Plan, schedule and execute production operations and establish priorities.
  • Ensure process controls are established and adhered to for operational consistency.
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of HACCP concepts and plant sanitation.
  • Review reports and resolve production and maintenance problems to prevent operational delays.
  • Achieve stated goals for efficiency, waste, and direct costs.
  • Inspect equipment to ensure operational performance and optimal utilization.
  • Develop and implement standard operational and working practices.
  • Manage employee performance, discipline, development and compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Partner with Human Resources to resolve employee relations issues and strengthen employee morale.
  • Compile, store, and retrieve production data.
  • Work closely with other departments to achieve organizational goals.
  • Recommend and implement changes in methods, equipment and systems to assure objectives of production are met.
  • Establish line performance standards; measure, take corrective action and report results.
  • Identify opportunities for moving the line/area forward in technological change and implement improvement strategies that will help the line/area perform more effectively.
  • This position has responsibilities related to Food Safety and Quality.
  • Uphold and participate in all Corporate Responsibility programming including recycling, social advocacy and MMAD volunteering opportunities.
  • Invest in and is an example of Milo’s Responsibility commitment which includes environmental, social, and corporate governance components.
  • This position has supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree preferred but not required. Desired experience in a production environment with food or beverage industry.
  • Applicants must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence, speak effectively before groups and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Office Suite to include MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and use of plant specific software systems.
