Coder / Specialist

We are seeking a remote Medical Coder for a well-known client of ours! This role involves processing and maintaining accurate customer records, resolving customer inquiries, and taking appropriate action on customer accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications
• Maintain accurate customer credit records
• Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
• Utilize ICD 10-CM diagnostic and ICD-10-PCS procedure codes
• Apply various DRG methodologies (MS-DRG, APR-DRG, Tricare, etc.)
• Use Microsoft Office Products, particularly Word and Excel, to manage and organize data
• Demonstrate strong analytical capabilities and excellent organizational skills
• Exhibit proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Use coding subject matter expertise to support other team members and projects
• Independently handle multiple priorities and deliver results
• Create a positive learning environment and motivate team members
• Collaborate with others to achieve common goals and positive outcomes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Office Suites
• Knowledge of Clinical Trial Operations
• Proficiency in Coding
• Familiarity with Submission processes and Methodology
• Understanding of Assertion Markup Language and Language Interpretation
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and IP Protocol
• Experience in Inpatient environments
• Experience with Procedure Codes and TRICARE
• Knowledge of Diagnosis Related Groups
• Certified Coding skills
• Understanding of MS-DRG and All Patient Refined Diagnosis Related Groups (APR DRG)
