job summary: Responsibilities
Service Asset & Configuration Management- Specific areas of focus for this position is Software Asset Management. The GTO Software Asset Management (SAM) team is responsible for leading the Software Asset Management (SAM) Program.
- The goal of the program is to facilitate risk and compliance management of material software publishers. Value from the program is created by license compliance monitoring, reducing the risk of software audits and penalties and optimizing software usage, to name a few.
SAM team responsibilities include:
- Responsible for creating Entitlement Baseline and Effective License Positions in accordance with publisher specifications. Monitoring and identifying compliance risks of software licenses.
- Coordinating software and license reclamation activities. Optimize software assets through rationalization and consumption analysis.
- Ensuring quality of software asset records Managing key relationships with peer roles within the enterprise. This includes Product Owners, Technical Owners and Procurement.
- Assist in software audit activities. Answers software license related questions pertaining to purchases, number of installs, usage and provide licensing recommendations to stakeholders to maximize the value of Software Asset Management program.
- Reviewing and understanding contract terms and conditions Facilitate the collection of license entitlements. Identify opportunities for cost savings, to address efficiency, improve processes, and develop program metrics

- Experience level: Experienced
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Education: Bachelors
