Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our outpatient team in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will provide assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment for patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy programs tailored to patient needs.
• Provide evidence-based treatments to improve communication and swallowing functions.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy strategies for improved outcomes.
• Organize and manage evaluation and treatment sessions to ensure optimal patient care and clinic workflow.
• Contribute to program development and interdisciplinary initiatives within the Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) department.
• Maintain accurate patient records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with New York State regulations and ASHA guidelines.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care.
• Participate in community outreach, education, and awareness programs to support speech therapy services.
• Stay updated with certifications, new treatment techniques, and industry best practices in speech-language pathology.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Active New York State (NYS) SLP Licensure.
• AHA BLS Certification.
