System Analyst I (Remote)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Systems Analyst to support and enhance our post-secondary education systems. In this role, you will work closely with our customers to understand their specific needs and help optimize their systems for improved efficiency and effectiveness.You will be responsible for analyzing, troubleshooting, and supporting education-related software applications, while also identifying opportunities for system enhancements.
Your duties will include gathering and analyzing user requirements, performing system testing, and collaborating with technical teams to implement solutions. You will act as a liaison between end-users and the IT department, ensuring that the system meets the educational institution’s evolving needs.This role requires strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and excellent communication abilities to provide both proactive and reactive support to our customers.
Key Job Elements:
- Collaborate with customers to understand and document system requirements and business processes.
- Analyze existing systems to identify areas for improvement and recommend enhancements.
- Provide support for post-secondary education systems, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, with a strong emphasis on working with Student Accounting and Financial Aid data.
- Perform system testing and validation to ensure accurate functionality.
- Work with cross-functional teams to implement system upgrades, integrations, and customizations.
- Create and maintain user documentation and provide training for end-users.
- Monitor system performance and ensure system stability and security.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Or 4 years of relevant experience working as a Systems Analyst in an Education institution.
- Proven experience as a Systems Analyst, preferably with experience in post-secondary education systems.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Experience writing SQL queries, basic familiarity with relational databases.
- Familiarity with education management systems (e.g., student information systems, learning management systems). Experience with Anthology Student is a plus.
- Experience with Student Accounting and Financial Aid systems and processes is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus
- Experience with CRM systems is a plus.
