We are in search of a skilled Receptionist to join our team in the Financial Services industry. This role is based in New York and offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our company, performing various duties such as answering inbound calls, assisting visitors and guests, maintaining office supplies, and interacting with vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for inbound calls, directing them to the appropriate department or individual.
  • Assist guests and visitors, providing them with badges and adding them to the visitor list.
  • Maintain office supplies and ensure pantry items are well-stocked.
  • Interact professionally with vendors, directing them as required, and overseeing their entrance and exit.
  • Keep the office environment tidy and well-organized, ensuring all areas are stocked and maintained.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suites and Microsoft Excel to keep track of office supplies and other administrative tasks.
  • Set up and clean up breakfast or catering when needed.
  • Ensure smooth operation of the reception area and office premises.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operation of the office.
  • Handle any other receptionist duties as assigned. • Prior experience in receptionist duties or a similar role is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to handle inbound calls, ensuring all queries are addressed efficiently.
  • Proven experience in assisting guests, providing excellent customer service.
  • Experience in restocking office supplies as needed.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of professionalism and strong work ethic.
