HVAC Lead Installer

Job Description

Florida Air Conditioning and Heating Inc. is seeking an experienced HVAC Installer.

Job Summary:

It is the responsibility of the Installer to install HVAC systems and any other related HVAC components correctly and in a timely manner.

Job Duties:

• Work safely following company policies
• Install HVAC related equipment according to manufacturer’s

• Wire both line and low voltage to heating and cooling

• Install copper refrigerant lines to air conditioning units,

• Install sheet metal, duct board and flex duct systems in residential and light commercial buildings
• Properly connect gas lines to heating equipment

-Pre-measure jobs to identify proper materials required for

• Receive, verify and load all equipment and materials needed

• Provide assistance as directed by management
• Properly fill out all paperwork required for each job
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned company vehicle
• Any other assigned duties as directed by management
• Provide technical assistance with the design of HVAC

systems including installations and modifications to existing

systems as well as assists in new installation of systems if

• Properly prepare records and reports describing procedures,

• Keep appointments and documentation for company vehicle

• Maintain a clean and organized job site
• Keep close records of truck stock use and replenishment
• Maintain respectful relationship with wholesalers, office

• Promptly attend all training classes and morning meetings
• Provide accurate and timely reports of time cards

• Preferably 5 years’ experience installing
• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to properly use company provided tablet
• Must be able to pass background check and drug test
• Must have valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent customer service and problem solving skills
• Honest and dependable
• Mechanically inclined
• Able to distinguish between different HVAC equipment

Physical Requirements:

• Able to safely lift up to 100 lbs.
• Able to tolerate temperatures above 100 degrees for extended periods of time
• Able to work overtime, nights and weekend hours when

• Able to continually climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or

• Able to easily get in and out of company vehicle and

comfortably sit for extensive periods of travel time

Salary: $35,000.00 to $70,000.00 /year
