Accounting Supervisor - Richmond

We are offering an exciting opportunity in the Wholesale Distribution industry in Richmond, Virginia, United States for an Accounting Supervisor. In this role, you will manage daily accounting operations, support financial reporting processes, and play a critical role in enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements and ensure their accuracy and timeliness.
• Supervise the accounting team, ensuring adherence to company policies and accounting standards.
• Manage general ledger maintenance and accounts payable/receivable functions.
• Collaborate closely with the Finance Director on budget preparation and financial analysis.
• Use accounting software systems to streamline accounting functions and improve operational efficiency.
• Monitor and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable operations.
• Leverage ADP - Financial Services, BlackLine, Concur, and ERP systems to enhance accounting functions.
• Lead auditing processes to ensure compliance and accuracy in accounting operations.
• Oversee billing functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations. • Minimum of three years' experience in a similar role within the Wholesale Distribution industry.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential.
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is required.
• Experience with BlackLine software is a significant advantage.
• Knowledge of Concur software is beneficial.
• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is required.
• Ability to perform all Accounting Functions is mandatory.
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential.
• Auditing skills and experience are necessary for this role.
• Experience in Billing Functions is a significant advantage.
