Summary: Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Programmer II plays a key role in maintaining, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting programs aligned with business requirements. This role involves managing complex computer systems and third-party applications through full development cycles.The Programmer II also ensures that procedures are current and effective by implementing and updating written policies and documentation, actively contributing to team collaborations, and engaging in regular communication with colleagues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Additional functions and requirements may be assigned by supervisors as deemed appropriate.- Correct errors by making appropriate changes and testing and debugging programs to ensure that the desired results are produced
- Develop and write computer programs to store, locate, and retrieve specific documents, data, and information
- Design and implement internal and external web pages and applications
- Analyze, design, test, and implement applications for specified users or departments. Work with end users to understand specifications for programming requests and department projects
- Writes programming code in the Symitar core system to generate reports, create or modify user screens or forms, and update the core system database
- Develop application software using recommended programming languages such as but not limited to .NET, SQL, JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, CSS, Adobe Acrobat, Symform, Symform PDF, VBA, and scripts
- In cooperation with the end user, test and verify application software to assure accuracy, integrity, interoperability, and completeness to achieve desired results
- Analyze, create, and maintain updates to the Data Warehouse system, such as creating complex reports and integrating different systems and other desktop or web-based systems as needed. Proficient in MS SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Acts as a liaison between the Credit Union, core processor vendor, and other 3rd party vendors for analysis, programming, support, problem resolution, implementation of new products, maintenance of existing systems, and processes
- Act as co-primary contact for all programming-related application systems problems, together with the Senior (can insert Supervisor) Programmer. Analyze, debug, test, and document problems or recommend solutions that involve applications.
- Provide support to users via helpdesk tickets, phone, email, or in-person to answer queries or troubleshoot, debug, and resolve problems. You may need to install or configure software for users.
- Maintains and updates project plans and department procedures related to programming.
- Responsible for the administration and support of the following systems: Synergy Imaging System, iTalk Audio Response, DocuSign
