Position Details:
Location: Rochester, NY
Hours- 6am-2:30pm, Mon-Fri (some overtime possible)
Pay: $19/hr, depending on experience
Duration: One year contract position with a possibility of being temp to hire
Who We're Looking For:
Candidates with the ability to build noncomplex optical / electrical / mechanical sub-assemblies within quality requirements. This person should be reliable and detail oriented.
What to Expect as a Mechanical Assembler:
- Follow standard work processes as provided
- Assemble pre-fabricated parts / pieces from a stocked work cart
- Accurately record data
- Provide input or feedback during team discussions
- Engage with team members and work effectively with others
- Comply with all company policies & regulations
Qualifications for Success:
- HS Diploma or GED/HSE or 1+ years of Manufacturing/Assembly experience-
preferred-
Familiarity with small hand tools- Decision making and problem-solving skills
- Be organized and have excellent attention to detail
- Knowledge of safety, lean manufacturing and process improvement is helpful
- Basic computer skills
