Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant is a key member of the finance team, contributing to the organization's growth and transformation by providing strategic accounting expertise. Responsibilities include conducting technical research on complex accounting issues, determining appropriate accounting treatments for new transactions, and providing business partnership support to internal and external teams.

Responsibilities

Accounting:

• Serve as the subject matter expert on key accounting areas, working directly with business leadership to assess the financial impact of contracts and changes in business practices.
• Compile key financial data for distribution across the organization.
• Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, utilizing financial systems and spreadsheet models while collaborating with department heads and senior management.
• Conduct variance analysis, identify key performance drivers, and provide insightful commentary on financial results.
• Participate in month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance explanations, and preparation of supporting financial schedules.

Strategic Decision Support:

• Leverage operational and financial data to provide analytical support and insights for senior leadership to evaluate strategic initiatives and investment opportunities.
• Perform ad-hoc financial analyses and modeling to aid in decision-making and drive business growth.

Reporting and Performance Measurement:

• Develop and maintain ledgers, financial models, and dashboards to track financial metrics.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and operational reports for senior management, including visual presentations to highlight key trends.
