We are seeking a talented Senior Navy Surface Warfare Officer to join the SMWDC team to lead the Surface Warfare Combat Systems Training Continuum (SWCTC) as the Senior expert reporting to directly to SWDC CAG and Front Office leadership. Must have a current SECRET Clearance and 12+ years as a qualified Surface Warfare Officer.

You will support SMWDC HQ, FFC, CPF, CNSF and OPNAV in capability assessments across all SMWDC-owned mission area capabilities. You will support, assist, review and make recommendations to ensure all SWCTC requirements are planned for and executed IAW program time lines.

You will develop plans and programs that will improve war fighting performance and readiness of the surface forces and integrate those SWCTC requirements into the SEWTC, IPCL, FTW and other formal budgeting plans. You will evaluate, assess and monitor unit-level mission area readiness and operational capability through direct observation or indirect analysis of performance metrics to support units preparation for, and completion of the advanced training phase.

Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Possess current Security Clearance of SECRET.
  • At least 10 years of recent experience in electronic training database systems such as RADM, TORIS/TFOM and FLTMPS.
  • At least 12 years of recent experience as a Qualified SWO.
  • At least 4 years recent experience with Surface Warfare training cycles.
  • At least 3 years of recent experience with Surface Warfare training instructions such as the Surface Force Training and Readiness Manual (SFTRM).
  • Successfully completed an active duty SWO Department Head tour.
  • Recent experience working in or with the training department of Afloat Training Group, Surface Warfare Officer School or major Navy staff (Commander Naval Surface Forces Pacific/Commander Naval Surface Forces Atlantic/Numbered Fleet).

Salary Range: $110,000 - $125,000 annually.
