Manufacturing Technician
The Senior Manufacturing Technician functions as a skilled expert worker, able to build, document, test, and deliver complex electromechanical assemblies. This position reports to the Assembly Operations Manager.
Essential Job Functions:
- Work within clearly defined standard work instructions
- Advise manufacturing engineers on best approaches to accomplish manufacturing tasks
- Apply scientific methods to identify potential solutions to problems
- Apply analytical and mechanical skills to complete assigned work within area(s) of expertise
- Recognize and solve typical problems that can occur in assigned work areas and within procedural and policy requirements
- Evaluate and select solutions from established operating procedures
- Act as a resource/mentor to more junior technicians
- Ensure all elements of the manufacturing operation and activities are conducted safely and in strict compliance with all worker protection programs
- Apply strict and proper compliance to procedures and adherence to Conduct of Operations principles
- Assume a lead role in development and/or improvement of procedures
- Assume a lead role in the verification and validation of manufacturing procedures, processes, and approaches
Minimum Experience:
- Five (5) years production experience in the nuclear, chemical, or manufacturing industry
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Centrifuge & Enrichment experience
- Q-Clearance
- Qualified Assembly Technician for Rotor Assembly
- Experience with Column, Lower Suspension, and Upper Suspension Assembly manufacturing
- Experience with Filament Winding
This position will require a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.

This position will require a preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a DOE security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government. Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required."
