We are hiring for a Clinical Nurse Manager in the Emergency Department at South Hospital
Location: 1903 W. Hebron Ln, Shepherdsville, KY, 40165Shift: Day Shift, 5 days/week
About Us:
UofL Health is investing in the health of Bullitt County, and the surrounding area with an expansion of UofL Health – Medical Center South to become an inpatient hospital – UofL Health – South Hospital. South Hospital is expected to open in early 2024 and will add approximately 100,000 square feet of new space to the existing facility.South Hospital will include a 10-bed intensive care unit, medical/surgical patient rooms, six operating rooms, new cardiac catheterization lab, expanded emergency department, centralized sterile processing area, laboratory, pharmacy, cardiopulmonary, respiratory therapy and more.

Responsibilities:
Job Summary
The Clinical Nurse Manager will have responsibility for the overall operations of the nursing unit to include financial performance, service quality, clinical outcomes, quality improvement, employee satisfaction, and patient satisfaction. The clinical manager of the nursing department will have direct reporting responsibility to a designated nursing director.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program
- Current KY RN licensure or compact license with privileges to work in Kentucky
- 5+ years of experience in an acute care setting/ ED or ICU
- Prior experience in nursing leadership roles in the hospital setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program
- Professional certification in either a leadership or clinical specialty area (If certification not present on hire, it is to be obtained within 3 years of hire into position.)
