Cost Accounting Manager

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Cost Accounting Manager in Mission Viejo, California. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our accounting team, focusing on handling customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving customer inquiries.
This role also involves monitoring customer accounts and implementing necessary actions.
Responsibilities:- Conduct regular reviews and analyses of monthly reports on material, labor, and overhead efficiency
- Develop and maintain financial cost reports for standard and gross margin analyses
- Ensure the accuracy of biweekly and monthly payrolls for processing
- Translate data into meaningful statistics to provide qualitative analysis and process improvements
- Manage cost information effectively to enhance profitability
- Create detailed reports on product costing, cost variance analysis, direct and indirect costs, variable and fixed costs, and operating costs
- Collaborate with cross-function teams to predict and improve the cost of production
- Analyze reports and tools to identify cost exceptions
- Forecast cost-related changes and risks and recommend cost-effective solutions
- Build databases and use accounting software systems such as Epicor and ADP for financial services
- Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Crystal Reports, Epicor
- Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
- Understanding of Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Auditing, Budget Processes, Cost Accounting • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Cost Accounting Manager role or similar position
- Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems
- Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is necessary
- Experience with Crystal Reports is required
- Proficiency in Epicor software
- Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is crucial
- Profound understanding of Accounting Functions
- Prior experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)
- Proven experience in Auditing
- Familiarity with Budget Processes
- In-depth knowledge of Cost Accounting
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field is preferred
- Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
- CPA certification is preferred.
