Overview:
This position is with NYK Business Systems Americas Inc.
The business analyst will act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for business and application system functionality and deliver high quality IT services by bridging business requirements and IT.

Responsibilities:
Production Support- Receiving service calls, analyze issues and requirements, confirm service classification, service type, urgency and business priority, and provide workaround if it is available.
- Participate in the bridge call for a major incident, and support to classify the impacted applications
businesses and confirm the proposed mitigation / recovery plan is acceptable from the business
perspectives.- Create User Guides and FAQ and provide User Training (upon the request) to enlighten the business users how to use NYK business applications correctly.
- Collect business requirements from business stakeholders using appropriate elicitation techniques.
- Analyze business requirements, confirm its completeness and consistence, and identify cross-functional, regional, and organizational impact and interdependencies.
- Liaise between technical teams and the business users
- Identify requirement development processes, create and manage the plan (tasks, stakeholders,
- Define and maintain business requirements (including use cases) and functional/non-functional
- Document requirements and specifications in enough detail to deliver complete, consistent, easily
- Communicate requirements and specifications and ensure all (business & technical) stakeholders have a common understanding of requirements and how they will be implemented and obtain sign-off.
- Create and execute QA test cases
- Review and sign-off QA test plan and test cases, and ensure it provide sufficient test coverage.
- Answer questions from developers about requirements.

Qualifications:
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS (To be fully competent in the job)- SPECIAL SKILLS (Computer training, quality training, special programs)
- Shipping domain business and applications knowledge, a significant plus
- Problem-solving skills
- Business process analysis skills
- Business and technical writing skills
- Communication, presentation, business requirements facilitation skills
- Basic understanding of project planning, SDLC processes, Agile methodology.
- Preferred Education
- BA in Information Technology, Business Administration or related fleld
- Work Experience (Years of experience in the industry and functional area)
- 5+ years of relevant experience
