install Siding Field Manager

Overview:

We are the largest independent turnkey supplier for lumber, truss, doors, and windows for general contractors, multifamily and single-family builders.

The Install Siding Field Manager will be responsible for overseeing the installation of exterior siding and trim on new construction homes. The Field Manager will be responsible for Pre and Post Jobsite walks while directly communicating with ABS, Builder and Installer. The following description details the duties. These duties include, but are not limited to the following functions:

Duties and Responsibilities

Job Specific:

• Monitor Job Sites to ensure proper timing of delivery and installation of exterior siding products.
• Schedule deliveries and labor crews to meet deadlines.
• Post-walk house after Install, verifying quality completion per Customer Specs.
• Pro-active communication between ABS and Builder and Installer.
• Complete and maintain siding and labor takeoffs.
• Identify needs for additional material when needed.
• Approve extra PO’s when needed for extra trips and Add-ons.
• Email Order Entry to create Pickup requests for extra material.

General:

• Work safely and report any unsafe conditions.
• Perform Pre-trip inspections of company vehicles daily.
• Train new Field Managers when needed.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested

• 2+ years’ experience in estimating for new home construction.
• 2+ years of construction and building materials related experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret building plans in diagram form.
• Working knowledge of floorplans and elevations.
• Understanding of measurements and basic math principles.
• Ability to plan, coordinate, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• High degree of computer literacy (Microsoft Office).

• Heavy Lifting Working Overhead Long Periods of Standing
• Long Periods of working outdoors and on active construction sites
• The applicant will be working closely with Superintendents; therefore, they will need to be friendly and communicative.
• The applicant must be able to work a flexible schedule and adjust easy to change. This is a fast-moving job that requires quick thinking and accuracy in quality of work.
