A rapidly growing development firm based in Texas that develop projects from inception to completion. This role will be an integral part of advancing the company's capabilities further, by retaining their future projects through to COD.
The portfolio is utility-scale solar, storage and data center projects across ERCOT, MISO and the desire to expand into WECC too.
Job Description
The Senior Project Developer (Solar, Storage, Data Centers) will be responsible for:
- Lead the Project Development activities for utility-scale solar, storage, and data center projects across ERCOT and MISO.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to identify suitable locations for new projects.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders, including local governments, utilities, and community groups.
- Engage and negotiate with potential landowners across the region.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) team to ensure project specifications and timelines are met.
- Secure necessary permits, approvals, and financing for projects.
- Analyze market trends and regulatory changes to inform project strategies and identify new opportunities.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to promote project initiatives and secure customer commitments.
- Lead project risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and present reports to senior management and stakeholders on project progression and performance.

The Successful Applicant
The Senior Project Developer (Solar, Storage, Data Centers) will have:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Development in the renewable energy sector, particularly solar, energy storage, or related fields.
- Proven track record of successfully managing utility-scale projects from development to execution.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and permitting processes for energy projects.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Must be based in Texas.
