As a Groomer Operator you are responsible for preparing and maintaining the skiing surface that is safe and functional for skiers and snowboards of all skill levels using grooming vehicles. Responsibilities:
The Groomer Operator's typical job functions included:
- Learning how to operate all slope-grooming equipment
- Maintaining mountain skiing surfaces to the finest level possible
- Safely operating a turbo-charged diesel powered snow groomer with hydrostatic drives, 12 way blade and multi-function rototiller rear implements
- Operating all machine functions, such as blade controls, rear implement controls and steering
- Minimizing down time through basis preventative maintenance, cleanliness and up-keep of machines
- Covering rocks and obstacles on slopes; moving snow from low wear areas to high wear areas
- Communicating as needed to shop mechanics concerning mechanical problems
Qualifications:
This position may be for you if:
- You are at least 18 years old
- You possess a valid driver's license
- You have achieved a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- You are available to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays
- You have one to three months related experience and/or training
