job summary:
A Product Support Technician (Customer Support Specialist) is needed for a leading manufacturing organization in the Southern Atlanta metro area. The Product Support Technician will be responsible for to deliver expert technical support for complex electrical equipment.

In this role, you will manage customer-related issues from initial contact through to resolution, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and effective problem-solving.

Candidates should possess an AS degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or a related field) and have a minimum of 4+ years of experience with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of industrial equipment.

Candidates with a background and knowledge of substation equipment are desired. This is a direct-hire role, and our client is only seeking local talent at this time.

responsibilities:

  • Provide warranty and after-sales technical support to customers.
  • Collaborate with the Service Division to coordinate site work and returns.
  • Conduct root cause analysis with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Initiate Customer Service Requests (CSR) and manage Return Material Authorizations (RMA).
  • Utilize technical drawings and schematics for troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Maintain and update the group troubleshooting guide, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Travel to customer locations as needed to resolve issues and strengthen relationships.
