Responsibilities:

Develops a comprehensive, standardized parts purchasing and warranty recovery program process for Interstate Waste Services. Acts on behalf of Interstate Waste Services Management on 3rd party vendor negotiations, creation and maintaining the best parts program and all warranty involved matters.

Oversees all parts operations including accounting, parts systems, process, and procedures. Improves 3rd party service, parts operations, and warranty recovery to facilitate growth and successfully achieve the company's long term strategic goals.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
  • Works with IT department and Vendors to develop, implement and automate an efficient web-based parts and warranty management system.
  • Reviews warranty data, understands failure modes, and develops corrective action plans for high failure rate components.
  • Develops comprehensive cost-effective parts and warranties programs for Interstate Waste Services.
  • Develops processes to help identify warranty opportunity within Interstate Waste Service’s fleet management database.
  • Builds and implements a company-wide parts purchasing, and warranty recovery training program directed toward Fleet Managers and Technicians.
  • Instructs Maintenance Managers on warranty coverage and recovery and assists Maintenance Managers in discussions with local OEM dealers on warranty issues.
  • Sets warranty recovery goals applicable to all sites based on equipment life cycle and replacement parts usage.
  • Builds a warranty calculator to assist warranty budgeting at the site level.
  • Collects monthly and quarterly parts purchasing detail and warranty recovery data and creates reports for senior management at the Corporate and Area level.
  • Attends OEM warranty training for certification and to enter warranty claims on behalf of Interstate Waste Services.
  • Provides purchase recommendations to Interstate Waste Services senior management based on the level and quality of warranty and goodwill support from chassis and body OEM’s.
  • Adept at utilizing web-based tools, databases, strong excel proficiency, etc.
  • Manage and hold accountable vendors to agreed service levels and warranties
  • Have strong organization, be detail-oriented, and relentless follow through skills
  • Other duties and responsibilities associated with the role that may be assigned

Qualifications:

 A.  Education and Experience

Required: High School with 7+ years of related experience.
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years’ of related experience.

 B.  Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

 C.  Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
  • Microsoft Suite
  • Self-Starter with strong communication skills.
  • Working financial knowledge.
  • Process oriented Team Builder.

Salary Range Minimum: USD $110,000.00/Yr.
