Our client is an internationally renowned M&E consultant specialising in Data Centre's across the globe with a proven record of delivering sustainable designs whilst providing a first class client service. Their UK team of 10 are tight knitted, sociable and very supportive.One of their USP's is that the team offer a flat structure allowing the developing and growth of their staff rather than individuals clambering over the next promotion. The culture is fantastic, a very grown up and flexible approach to work. At present they are all currently doing a 3 and 2 office / home set up.
In recent years the business has increased its market share within the sector becoming one of the "go to" consultants for tier 1 clients and their Data Centre needs.Therefor I am now seeking to speak with an experienced Senior or Principal mechanical engineer to be based in our clients London office.
You will have the ability to run medium to large projects, undertake a client facing role in the development, design and co-ordination of projects across the UK and Europe. A Data Centre or mission critical background is essential.
Role Purpose
Reporting to the Mission Critical Director your role will include: Lead mechanical engineer on Mission Critical projects
Seeking to win new business in the Mission Critical sector and assisting in other sectors.Project Leader be responsible for the timely delivery of a quality product to a profit.
Adding strength to the Mission Critical team in terms of technical expertise and project/client management
Providing technical leadership within the wider office/company
QA of mechanical work for Mission Critical and other market sectors within the office
Assisting in the development of junior staff.
Key challenges: Delivering Mission Critical projects
Developing businessManaging multiple projects and conflicting obligations
Increasing Project Leader skills and client and fee management
Time management and project delivery timeframe
Qualifications & Certificationsmechanical Engineering Degree
Skills & Experience: At least 8 years engineering experience
At least 5 years' experience at a senior level of working on large mission critical, commercial and other sector projects.Co-ordination and integration of designed systems with other designers and team members, including architects and quantity surveyors.
Technical and non-technical consulting skills.
Generating business and repeat business via marketing and business development activities.
Excellent communication both written and verbal
Client relationship focused
Experienced designer
Relates well to all employees and client groups, whatever their organization level.
Is composed and a settling influence under pressure whilst still managing the requirement top deliver on time, to specification and to cost.
