Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our client's finance team. The ideal candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Enter, update, and maintain accounting data, including invoices, receipts, and financial records, into the appropriate systems (Source: FSC T& C).
- Reconcile accounts and verify the accuracy of transactions.
- Process and monitor invoices, including ensuring timely payment to vendors and matching purchase orders to statements (Source: Finance & Accounting).
- Record, post, and track customer payments to ensure accurate receivable records.
- Prepare and process bank deposits, journal entries, and credit card transactions.
- Perform routine bank reconciliations (Source: Financial Reporting).
- Assist in generating monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports, including tracking variances and verifying data consistency (Source: Fill Rate Report).
- Compile data needed for audits and compliance checks.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date files of financial documents for compliance and ease of reporting.
- Ensure records are archived according to organizational retention policies.
- Provide support to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, including data reconciliation and inquiries from employees (Source: Finance & Accounting - Contract Talent).
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc assignments, special projects, and troubleshooting accounting discrepancies as necessary.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant coursework or certifications are a plus.
- At least 3 years of administrative experience preferred; entry-level candidates with relevant coursework will also be considered.
- Prior exposure to accounting tasks is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office, Microsoft Navision.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles is a plus (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
- Strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
- High ethical standards and ability to manage sensitive information confidentially.
